Automation without false promises

Altcoin Folio AI Agents and Trading Bots

AI can classify records, explain changes, and prepare review queues. It cannot guarantee profitable trades. Keep observation, recommendation, approval, and execution as separate security stages.

Start with read-only assistance

Useful agent tasks include matching transfers, flagging stale prices, detecting missing wallets, summarizing fees, and drafting portfolio journal entries. These tasks improve data quality without granting custody power.

Give the model structured, minimal data. Remove secrets, label untrusted text, and use deterministic code for balances, allocations, and policy checks.

Make every recommendation inspectable

Separate facts, inferences, and suggestions. Record the data cutoff, report ID, model version, tools used, confidence, and human decision. A user should be able to reproduce the portfolio state that led to a recommendation.

Human approval must show asset, network, amount, destination, fee limit, and reason. The agent should never approve its own proposal or change the approval policy.

Constrain execution or omit it

When execution exists, isolate credentials, disable withdrawals where possible, allowlist destinations, cap amounts and slippage, and fail closed on stale data. Begin with simulation and tiny limits. A proposal-only architecture is often the better product.
